Buddha's Birthday Ceremony on April
2 @ 11 a.m.
Book Discussion Group!
Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00.
The general plan is to recite the Four Great Vows, sit for five minutes, and then have participants take turns reading aloud. We will try to cover one chapter per evening, followed by discussion.
The first book will be Zen Master Seung Sahn's Compass of Zen. If you wish to buy a copy you can purchase one from any major bookstore or online. This book gives a good overview of Buddhism, Zen, and our particular lineage. I hope that this free program will offer an opportunity for more people to "plug in" to the Dharma and IZC, and inspire people to seek, through practice, what the Buddha, the Zen Masters, and their words are pointing to. If successful, this will be an ongoing program with more books to follow. Participants do not need to sign up or attend every time.

Things we need at the Zen Center
*Please contact Robert
or Eddie if you want to contribute something to the new Zen Center. We are trying
to avoid cluttering our environment with a lot of knick knacks so please touch
base with them to ensure that your contribution fits in with the overall plan.
The following supplies are always needed
